About TeleWare

TeleWare aim to empower individuals to enhance business relationships and optimise performance. We do this through customer friendly communications applications that provide powerful solutions for mobile and distributed workers.

TeleWare are an innovative and pioneering company recognised for being ahead of the curve with new ideas and developments. Significant milestones include:

Enterprise Mobility Since 1991

Created in 1991, TeleWare focuses on providing cost effective communications for mobile and distributed workers. Initially, this meant provision of one numbering services with a unique ‘pull to location’ capability with ‘here and now’ registration from any handset, on any network. TeleWare’s product set today is focussed on Mobile and Unified Communications solutions and continues to provide network and device independent solutions for mobile and distributed workers. This includes capabilities such as our mobile client and private mobile solutions to bring office applications to the mobile phone, and inbound call management solutions to enable remote and distributed workers to be a fully integrated part of the customer’s communications strategy.

Hosted Solutions Since 1997

In 1997, TeleWare created an industry first by launching our Hosted Applications for BT Featurenet customers providing voicemail and messaging services. Since then our platform has extended to cover 3 locations and to deliver our full range of applications to both IP and TDM-based users.

IP Telephony Since 2001

TeleWare was bought back into private ownership in 2001 and, during this period of confusion in the telecommunications industry, we focussed on porting all the TeleWare applications to a SIP environment. We have a strong commitment to standards and to protecting our customer investment by ensuring they maximise the use of existing infrastructure and do not require specialist hardware to run our applications. All our applications are now able to support traditional digital PBXs and IP PBXs as well as Centrex services and work with industry standard SIP and GSM handsets. TeleWare was placed in the Gartner Unified Communications Magic Quadrant in 2006 and remains the only UK player to have achieved this recognition.

Private Mobile Exchange Since 2003

TeleWare continues to be highly visionary and, in 2003, we introduced the first Private Mobile Network solutions utilising picocell technology to provide Fixed Mobile Convergence solutions using standard GSM handsets and with a technology that was well proven and provides high quality voice. In 2007, we won the Frost & Sullivan award for the most entrepreneurial company in recognition of our role towards the advancement of private GSM networks in the United Kingdom.

Spectrum Licence Since 2006

In May 2006, TeleWare was licensed by Ofcom to provide private GSM networks for enterprise campuses in the UK. This created important opportunities for innovative solutions to provide campus mobility based on tried and tested mobile technology allowing dramatic reductions in enterprise mobile phone charges as organisations can begin to bring calls under control.
TeleWare has customer deployments in over 300 locations worldwide. The majority of our customers are UK-based and represent a mixture of small, medium and large enterprise and public sector, including 19% of the FTSE 100.

TeleWare Mobile Since 2011

TeleWare Mobile was launched following TeleWare becoming an MVNO in 2011. TeleWare Mobile integrates fixed and mobile telephony in the core, delivering telephony applications usually associated with fixed telephony on the mobile handset. TeleWare Mobile provides the business with control and common functionality across the entire enterprise voice estate, making mobile part of the corporate estate with no need for new technology, mobile clients, WiFi or any special hardware deployment. TeleWare Mobile Compliance provides the TeleWare Mobile service with integrated call recording from the cloud, delivered to meet the Financial Services regulations extended in November 2011 to include mobile calls.
