Remote Clients

Remote Clients

Vemotion makes use of Remote Clients to view the video streams that are being transmitted from the remote encoders over the GSM/GPRS/3G network to the Vemotion Streaming Server.

Vemotion is entirely software based and has the ability to integrate with a wide variety of applications, such as Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) software, facial recognition software, mapping software and GPS information to locate vehicles or personnel.

The Vemotion video is sent out from the server over the GSM/GPRS/3G network to remote operatives or locations over the same network, the public GSM networks, satellite 802.11 or other IP network or physical radio network(s). Vemotion actively controls the video encoding parameters according to the conditions available. Encoding parameters can be changed on-the-fly, increasing the number of possible applications and conditions in which the surveillance equipment can be used.

The Remote Clients can be a laptop, a mobile phone, a blackberry or a PDA. There are two versions of the remote client; Viewer and Stream Manager.
