Live CCTV from Mobile Units enhances policing of events such as football matches.
"Vemotion enables Leedswatch and West Yorkshire Police to view real-time video images from mobile units - The solution described in this case study was successfully deployed during the game between Leeds United and Millwall on 21st August 2010 and subsequently featured in a BBC documentary."

Vemotion video compression and transmission equipment installed in the mobile CCTV vans can be used to augment the existing fixed camera network in cost-effectively providing live images to Police Control Rooms (ACRs) as well as to the control room within the stadium.
Some football matches are more likely than others to be a hotspot for public disorder and other offences, especially before and after the game when large crowds of fans from opposing teams converge on the ground and disperse again later. Previously mobile CCTV vans could record images for subsequent viewing and capture for evidential purposes, with Vemotion they are able to capture live CCTV further increasing policing effectiveness.
The ability to distribute video to the mobile from the control centre can improve event policing by creating awareness to assist in security decisions or improve situation awareness.
"Vemotion has enabled us to enhance the support we already provide to West Yorkshire Police in their operations"
